Experimental Quesadilla Lab brings together the traditional, alternative and bougie cheeses and tortillas near Santa Monica’s Virginia Avenue Park for a one-hour workshop that explores food accessibility and culture in the Pico neighborhood, one of Santa Monica’s most historic and diverse areas.

About the event

This event will take place in the courtyard behind the teen center and is open to all members of the Virginia Avenue Park neighborhood and members of the public wanting to learn more about Santa Monica and Los Angeles food culture and accessibility. It is part of the Experimental Quesadilla Lab, a social practice project by artist Teresa Flores and is funded by the City of Santa Monica's Art of Recovery Initiative. A limited supply of EQL kits will be available for quesadilla shop participants to take home.
